The Bronfman Vision Forum is a separate arm of the Foundation which gives expression to the Foundation’s core belief that Jewish Renaissance is grounded in Jewish learning. The Bronfman Vision Forum offers opportunities and venues for cultural influentials, Jewish thought leaders and those who believe in the power of ideas and learning to come together, collaborate, and infuse Jewish life with intellectual dynamism.
The “Why Be Jewish?” gathering brings together a wide cross section of Jewish thinkers and professionals including French philosopher Bernhard Henri-Levy, Tova Hartman, Rabbi Art Green, Leon Wieseltier, writer Anita Diamant, Rabbi Avi Weiss, Gidi Greenstein, Rabbi David Ellenson as well as other professors, rabbis, artists, philanthropists, communal professionals and alumni of the Bronfman Youth Fellowship in Israel Program. The participants of the conference discussed four main responses to the question, Why Be Jewish?, which included ethical and communal action based on tikkun olam; a love of learning and voracity of the Jewish world; spiritual fulfillment; and as an antidote to fundamentalism.
Convened by Edgar M. Bronfman, the 375 Series is an intimate networking opportunity and discussion forum for philanthropists and leaders of the Jewish community.
Provides a weekly opportunity for educators to share and discuss their work focusing on Jewish texts and tradition.
